Anakena Beach

In this post, I'm gonna continue talking about Easter Islans. Easter Island as I said before, is a volcanic island in the middle of Pacific Ocean. The coastal edge of the island is very high, with cliffs all around.There are just two sandy beaches in the island, I'm gonna talk about Ovahe and Anakena Beach.

Ovahe is a beautiful beach located 30 km from Hanga Roa. The main attractive of this beach is the colour of the sand: Pink.

Anakena Beach is a white coral sand beach, with turquoise blue water, palm trees and of course: an archeological place is located here, Ahu Nau Nau. The legend tells that King Hotu Matua landed here, and in this place was located the first settlement of Rapa Nui's people. After that, this place was turned into a ceremonial place. In the beach you can find some services like places to eat, bathrooms, parking and stores. Is a beautiful and must be seen place in the island.
